Readers of this blog will know that I have posted many times about ProShots Range. I took a free gun safety and education class there myself, I have had the range manager speak in my Sociology of Guns class, and for the past two years (2017 and 2018), my Sociology of Guns students have taken a field trip to ProShots. I have posted some of their reflections on the experience (here and here and here and here).
It’s a good place.
So I was disgusted to see a local “Professional Writer, Public Relations & Marketing Consultant” demonstrate no expertise in any of his professed specialties lash out in response to the Douglas High School shooting by taking an unfair shot at ProShots.
In response I offered to take the writer to ProShots to see the good and diverse people who shoot there. I have not yet received a reply of any kind. Not holding my breath.

A great, high-road response.
If he has any rationality I trust it will “heap coals upon his head.”

Why does one need “expertise” when one has moral superiority? “Expertise” is elitist anyhow.

I suppose if I generalized this level of ignorance and moral superiority to African-American professional writers, PR and marketing consultants who play jazz on the radio it could be considered racist? As a Future White American Terrorist, just have to ask…
Now where the hell did I leave my klan robe, anyway…..just wore it over the weekend.

Jim Steele’s expertise, obviously, is as a racist. Gun owners are from every race, every religion, every ethnicity. Steele made it a point to state “White”, because he is a race baiter.
