How Do I Get a Signed Copy of GUN CURIOUS?

I love author-signed books. I have a separate section of my bookshelf for these books (pictured below) – most of which are signed by people I know or have met.

I very much appreciate the questions I have been receiving about how to get a signed copy of my forthcoming book, Gun Curious. I regret that I am not selling this book out of my garage, so I won’t be signing and mailing copies of the book from home.

But below are a few options to get a signed copy.

(1) Help to organize a speaking event

A great place to get a signed copy of a book is at an in-person event. So, you can help yourself get a signed copy by helping me to get invited to speak.

Bookstores are an obvious candidate for these sorts of events. Do you have a bookstore where you live that hosts authors? Are you connected with anyone at that bookstore? Recommendations and contacts are welcome.

Do you know someone at your local or state book/literary festival?

Public libraries also frequently host book-related events. Does your public library do this? Who do you know at your local library? Hook me up!

Civic organizations can be excellent venues for discussion of significant public issues. Which organizations are active in your community? I would love to speak with local chapters of gun violence prevention organizations like Everytown or Moms Demand, or independent GVP groups. Put me in touch with groups active in your area.

Ranges, gun stores, and gun clubs are natural places for a book reading and/or signing. All I need is an invitation (and some way to get there, of course!).

Send me your ideas, or you can direct potentially interested parties to my contact page here.

(2) Sign up for my e-mail list for giveaways

I will be holding drawings for signed copies of my book and also signed bookplates exclusively for those who sign up for my e-mail list.

This is also a good way to stay updated on the status of the book and my work generally going forward. I control this list at a time when social media platforms are making it harder and harder for gun-related channels to be seen.

I will not bombard you with excessive emails.

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.

(3) Become a “Buy Me a Coffee” Patron

A number of people have supported my research over the years through a Patreon alternative called “Buy Me a Coffee.” Those who have given me $120 in cumulative support over the years are getting the first signed copies of the book when it is published (and likely slightly before it is published). This option will remain available until June 1st, then I will be shifting the BMAC page away from supporting this particular project. Click the link below to give.
